You'll see that the website displays advertising. These advertisements are controlled by the GC and you can see the policy for advertising here. These advertisements are not visible to anyone who accesses the site from within the school network.
Advertising revenue is generated every time someone visits any page on the site (ie generates a 'pageview'). The more pageviews, the more advertising revenue.
A share of this revenue goes directly to the school. The share is based on the average number of pageviews per day in a calendar month. Note that a 'day' includes all weekends, public holidays and school holidays. The share of the net revenue is:
- 250-499 page views pd = 25%
- 500 and over page views pd = 50%
In time, it is hoped that this revenue will form a significant part of the school's fundraising activities being managed by the Governing Council.
To help drive traffic to the site and generate funds for the school, please:
- make this website your homepage (just click on the orange button on the top right hand corner of the every page) on your home computer, laptop, mobile phone and iPhones etc, and
- subscribe to receive the newsletter electronically instead of in paper form.
