Instrumental Tuition 2011

Rose Park facilitates tuition in a variety of instruments. Students who participate in school based instrumental tuition are expected to support school ensembles.

DECD teachers (IMS)  offer lessons in small group format are free from tuition fees but incur instrumental hire  if required.

Private tutors provide lessons in a user pays format and fees are on application but average around $25.00 per half hour lesson

All year 5's take part in IMS lesson to expand their music literacy and are considered part of their curriculum.

These lessons are in small group mode and are supported by DECD /IMSand the governing council.

All lessons are in school time and are considered an extension of learning at school.

Instruments currently offered are:

•     IMS - Trombone, trumpet, violin, viola, cello, flute and clarinet
•     Private - Drums, acoustic guitar, electric bass, saxophone, flute, clarinet, voice and recorder
