Performance

Here is an update on the performance of the website since it  went live on Wednesday 27 Jan 10.  The site is hooked into 'Google Analytics' and so as well as the 'page views per day' chart on the home page (which has a 48 hour delay) we can also see pretty well every stat on the site that you could ever want.

It's still early days but the key stats  tell us something about the website and the level of engagement and digital readiness of the school community. 

Here are some of the results of the month up to and including 24 Feb 1):
  • 2,873 visits by 865 unique visitors
  • visitors came from 29 cities in 9 countries
  • 16,648 pages have been viewed (543 pages per day, above our target)
  • 6 pages were viewed per visit
  • each visitor stayed for 4 minutes for each visit
  • the top 40 pages have been hit more than 100 times each
  • 27 families representing 51 children have opted for electronic versions of the newsletter
  • 40% of families used Bizgate' to pay their fees online
  • the 'calendar' on the front page has been hit more than 500 times
  • the 'weather' on the front page has been hit more than 400 times
  • the school used 12% less paper in Jan 2010 than in Jan 2009
The biggest drivers of usage are the Newsletter and Calendar functions and the 'School Policies under 'Admin' but as time progresses it is expected that the 'Classes' and 'Sport' pages will increase in value to families.
